Meet the Chiropractor
Dr. Mary Jo Arciom (phonetically: Are-C-ohm) is originally from Connecticut. Early on, she realized there was a better way of taking care of the human body, an alternative way, aside from the Western ideas of prescriptions and invasive procedures. She knew she wanted to be a physician to care for people. She was in the pre-med track at the University of Connecticut and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. During her studies, she personally learned of chiropractic from a very hard fall on ice. She went to her chiropractor and had her first adjustment with incredible relief. Dr. Mary Jo investigated this science of healthcare and was instantly intrigued. There was no medication, no invasive procedures, only a spinal manipulation! If a spinal manipulation could restore musculoskeletal health almost immediately, what else could it do? Those burning questions were answered on attending and graduating the National College of Chiropractic now known as the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard Illinois.
